What are Same-different cards?
Identifying same and different objects is a very important skill, especially for children under the Autism spectrum. kids with language problems usually have difficulty in understanding the concept of negation. This is the first step towards the understanding of “does not belong” concept.
Does Not Belong Level 1 - 20 Flash Task Cards with Real Images. On the first level, we have introduced 4 images - 3 identical images and 1 different image to make it easy for the students to differentiate the same and different objects.
Does Not Belong Level 2 - 25 Flash task cards with Real Images
As a next step, it is important for the student to generalize the images of the same object and identify the different object. In level 2, we have used 3 different images of the same object and one image of a different object. For example: a flash card will have pictures of 3 different dogs and a pigeon. The student needs to identify the “same” and “different” images.
Level 3 - 30 Category Flash task cards with Real Images
In this third level, we have used 4 images - 3 objects of same category and 1 object from a different category. For example: a flash card will have pictures of 3 animals and a food item. The student needs to identify the “same” and “different” objects by its category.
